Up here on this southern slope you have a free view of the Hopfensee and the entire panorama of the Bavarian, Allgäu and Tyrolean Alps all the way to the world-famous castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

Services and leisure activities in the region, for example use of the cable cars, adventure swimming pool, museums, hiking and biking tours, ÖPNV etc. are reduced or included!
A sustainable holiday ... the director himself makes sure that the ecology in and around the house is satisfactory. If you are arriving by train you can take a taxi to and from the hotel free of charge. E-bikes and electric cars are available directly at the hotel (some for a small fee).

In the south of Bavaria where castles, palaces, lakes and villages are scattered by mountains, meadows and forests – you will find the region of Allgäu. As well as the famous cows and tasty cheese, there are plenty of other delights to discover all year round.
The "Riviera of Allgäu" – the Kneipp and climatic health resort of Hopfen am See extends along the shores of the Hopfensee Lake. From here you can see the whole panorama of the Bavarian, Allgäu and Tyrolean Alps. The medieval part of the busy town of Füssen is just a few minutes from the hotel.
 
A visit to the Wieskirche, the world famous Neuschwanstein castle and the FüssenCard (guest card)  make a holiday here definitely worthwhile!

A source which is springing nearly quietly gives our little place the name „Stillebach. Our hotel is an organic hotel and part of the „Biohotels“ which stands for appreciation of the nature, animals and the humans we work with. As far as possible we use regional and exclusively organic ingredients for our dishes.The „Biohotel Stillebach“ has a flair of the 60ies but we have renovated the house with respect and accurateness.

Summers are abounding in water:
* a little mountain lake invites to have a swim and on the
* float „Brunella“ you can cross the lake
* a small path leads the waterfall in front of the hotel -
* the spray is refreshing and the view to the village is marvelous.

Due to an altitude of 1440m snow is guaranteed every winter. The snow-covered fields are perfect for snowball-fight and for building snowmen. That means a lot of fun – not only for the little ones.
The route for cross-country skiing is just beside the hotel so you can start right away. Perfect conditions are waiting for skier at the glacier of Pitztal and at the skiing region „Rifflsee“ which are also near the hotel. With modern lifts you can get to the highest summits (Cafe 3440)!

Feeling the proximity of Tyrols highest galcier in St. Leonhard in the Pitztal valley. A jewel in the alps between 1.182 to 1.783 meters above sea level.St. Leonhard with its about 1.500 inhabitants and an area of about 223,4 km²   is situated in the inner Pitztal where hamlets and villages are scattered in a length of 25 km.St. Leonhard is an eldorado for hiker and alpinists in summer.There are endless tours in the alps of Pitztal which offer you a breathtaking views.The back of the Pitztal valley is well-known by alpinists. Tourism belongs to Pitztal valley since the first members of german alpine clubs hiked through the valley and built the first alpine huts in the end of 19th century.

St. Leonhard in Pitztal valley is ideal for skiers, snowboarders, hiker, alpinists and lovers of nature. Especially the glacier of the Pitztal valley and the skiing region „Rifflsee“ offer lots of possibilities for active guests. The highest cable car of Austria brings you to up to 3.440m above sea level to the highest summit which offers an unbelievable panoramic view over the alps.Well prepared slopes, fun parks, half pipes and guaranteed snow from september until spring attract the guests. After a skiing you can party in lots of Aprés-ski bars and rustical pubs.

Welcome to the Steineggerhof!

For almost 50 years we, the family Resch, are passionately running this small family hotel at the gateway to the Dolomites. Living with nature is very important to us: vegetables and herbs from our own garden, meat from our biological farm. We cook according to the "Cook the mountain" style, with everything that grows in the mountains. We have placed the emphasis on vegetarian cuisine, with our choice of menus we naturally also offer a choice of meat or fish dishes. The barbecues and kitchen parties are our highlights, which are always enjoyed by our guests. Since 2018 we are a member of the „Climate Neutrality Alliance 2025“, would like to get away from plastic, plant more by ourselves... there is still a lot to do to save the world at least a little bit!

We have been a founding member of Bikehotels Südtirol since 1995. Two bike guides go on tour with our guests. Bike professionals like Tom Öhler, Stefan Schlie, Manfred Stromberg and Stefan Hermanns MTB-Academy hold bike or eBike technique courses with us. Hikers and nature lovers who are looking for peace and relaxation, mountain huts with delicious South Tyrolean specialities and a unique panorama are in good hands with us between the forests of Steinegg and the Dolomites. Motorcyclists can look forward to 30 different mountain passes, just waiting to be discovered and driven on!

For our guests, who would like to take it a little easier, our long-time employee Sigrid offers yoga lessons, taster courses for functional training or accompanies you on short and long hikes. New are our unique planetary suites (Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Mercury, Venus), our extended wellness area with indoor pool, whirlpool, Finnish sauna, steam bath and the spacious relaxation room "Terra" with reading corner, as well as a yoga and fitness room. Our sunny panoramic rooftop terrace with Finish sauna amazes with a magnificent panoramic view of the Catinaccio, Sciliar, Alpe di Siusi, Valle Isarco and Renon, all the way to Bolzano. You can rent the rooftop terrace in the evening as a private SPA and spend the night under the open sky!

The small mountain village of Steinegg is located at 900 m above sea level, without through traffic, surrounded by the Dolomite mountains of Catinaccio, Latemar, Tschafon, Sciliar and Alpe di Siusi. Directly from the hotel you can reach the earth pyramids of Collepietra, an impressive natural spectacle made of clay and boulders. Steinegg is the first European star village. In the neighbouring village of San Valentino there is a planetarium, an observatory and a solar observatory. If you are fascinated by the cosmos and interested in astronomy, the star village Steinegg is the right place for you! On the planetary path it is possible to walk from Mercury to Pluto in a few hours thanks to the conversion of the sizes in the solar system in a ratio of 1:1 billion.

We are only 13 km away from the South Tyrolean capital Bolzano. Besides the beautiful old town there are several great museums and castles to discover: Archaeology museum with the Ötzi, nature museum, Messner Mountain Museum, the Runkelstein Castle, etc. The spa town Meran is about 40 km away from us. Especially worth seeing is the twelve hectare botanical garden of Trauttmansdorff Castle including the "Turiseum". The cable cars for high alpine hiking on the Dolomite massifs Catinaccio, Latemar or Alpe di Siusi can be reached in 20-30 minutes by car. A dense network of forest and forest paths runs through our holiday region Val d'Ega ideal for hiking and eBike tours.

Bad Kohlgrub is a true treasure trove
 
Settled in the beautiful landscape of the Ammergauer Alps near to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberammergau, only an hour by car from Munich, you will find the idyllic "terrace village" of Bad Kohlgrub. With its delightful farmhouses, "Lüftl" art and the charm of its flower-filled gardens, guests have been feeling at home here for a long time; since 1870!

This becomes apparent not only in the wood frame construction of our house, but also by being entirely free of electrosmog and our awardwinning Green Cuisine (Grüne Haube). When, over 30 years ago, we trasformed the Bergerhof, for the love of nature, into a "bio" situation and then a few years later we began commercialising the biological activity, we would never have thought that one day our dream to create a Bio Hotel yould become a reality. The idea was born from the desire to let everyone experience the positive energy which nature brings with it as a sign of gratitude for the sustainable style of life that it gives us. Since 2006, food in the Falkenhof has been prepared almost exclusively from locally grown organic produce. On the menu, you will find light Mediterranean cuisine, four-course menus with fish or meat, vegetarian dishes as well as basic fitness cuisine to regulate the body’s acid-base balance. Unalloyed relaxation is offered by the spacious 1200-square-metre Vital Oasis, occupying its own wing of the hotel.

Among its features are the modern spa area, the Greek sea salt water pool and not least the hotel’s own, 36°C panoramic healing thermal spa on the roof. In the Vital Oasis, Falkenhof guests may choose from around 100 different treatments – ranging from yoga to massages to cosmetic treatments.
